First post a drabble! Well done.

A nice drabble, too, though I had to read the last sentence a couple times to get it. Also, you might consider changing "religiously" to "faithfully" or "dutifully" -- I think that the latter have more of a sense of "doing it because you have to"? (Also, part of me is yelling "Don't give them any ideas!" :D )
