The people of Earth were confused and intrigued by the cryptic message, sent from space in rudimentary English:
"we behold you. we bring worship you deserve."
They had obviously monitored our media enough to learn one of our languages, but their meaning was unclear; had these aliens deemed mankind worthy of godlike exaltation? Or were they interstellar missionaries, bringing their religion to a deserving race? The matter was hotly debated until the day they arrived.
Two things are now clear to us, the enslaved survivors:
First, even advanced civilizations can make typos. And secondly, we probably did deserve their warship.

Re: Oops
They can't be that advanced if they haven't come to understand the import of profreaders. Boom tish.
Nice though, we probably would quibble the semantics instead of doing anything about it, after all.

Actually, this is a commentary on what happens when proofreaders are replaced by spell-checkers, right.TheBigBadG wrote:They can't be that advanced if they haven't come to understand the import of profreaders. Boom tish.
