This story is about methadone, right?
Re: Drabblecast 43- "Jelly Park" by Aliya Whiteley
So, I caught myself humming a song today in calculus class. Only after I left class, after humming for an hour, I realized the song was "Jelly Park".
Norm, your viral songs have infiltrated my head to the deepest extent. I'm not sure whether to love or hate you for that.

I listened to this story at 5am on new years day after an all-nighter of entirely too drugs and alcohol. After a long consideration I decided that my car stereo was trying to screw with me..
Then later on that afternoon after sobering up i listened to it again and decided I liked it very much... There are few stories that i listen to that make me laugh as much as this one did... Goes to show you the little rewards you find in the archives..

LOL, what a great way to run across the most beloved drabblecast story ever.myke_deschain wrote:I listened to this story at 5am on new years day after an all-nighter of entirely too drugs and alcohol. After a long consideration I decided that my car stereo was trying to screw with me..

So, after your all-nighter are you a jolly bus-driver now?
Kudos for bumping this thread. It's always time for remembrance of that toon, which once again is running through my brain.

Yea, the drivers were all like "come on, we're going to jelly park!" and then i saw their teeth and well, with the way the economy is and the state of health care and such i decided against a life time of super-concentrated, ultra-sweet jelly cubes...ROU Killing Time wrote:So, after your all-nighter are you a jolly bus-driver now?

Auuugghgh! The earworm got me!
Yeah, this one was great for it's jingle-like quality, the nice voicework, and the theme of the value of just enjoying what you have.
I think that Aliya and Norm should collaborate on a CD!

Everytime someone hears Jelly Park for the first time, a strange listener gets his tentacles...Unblinking wrote:Auuugghgh! The earworm got me!

Is THAT what that weird sensation was? No wonder it made me giggle.
Yeah, so...I'm listening to all of Drabblecast. In order. I started at #1 and am now up to #43.
This song will haunt me for days. Evil, evil Norm.

This absolutely blew me away and I have no idea why. I just loved it!! I really can't imagine loving it the same way in text, though. The amazing production values definitely carried this to a whole new level.
Amazing!
I think we were so blown away that we all forgot to give props to the drabble, which was also decent. There were a couple phrasings in there that I loved.

Well, it's about time! To anyone relatively new to Drabblecast who hasn't listened to the whole library, this is the episode to inspire you to do so in 2015. One of the best.
But reading the comments also makes me want to raise a glass to the many friends, like Tweedy, Phillipa, and Ayn Savoy who I miss hearing from here. Drabbleclassics brings them back too.

Ha-Ha HA.. HA!
I was away visiting family when this Posted as a Classics episode, but it was a great wind down after all the wine and whisky and noisy kids.
I didn't drink the noisy kids though. Like the jelly, they just aren't runny.
I've been wondering about Norm's board signature for a while, so it just goes to show that all Drabble Mysteries will be solved, if we just have patience.
I'm not one of those obsessive backlog busters, so, "Vive la Drabble Classics!"
