Witness This

Post by Ichabod » Tue Jun 25, 2019 11:26 pm

Greely admired his work. Here in horse country everyone hung one of these over the shed door. And it was important to fit in. After several moves it finally felt safe to settle in.

He looked at the horseshoe again, frowned, and considered others he’d seen – the round part was supposed to be on top, right? Did it matter?

The chuckle made him turn. The gun, silencer attached, was held in a black gloved hand.

“Greely, you’ve been elusive… lucky,” said the man. His eyes flicked to the shed door and back. He smiled, “But now your luck’s run out.”
